Fund Raising and Activities
Scope Members claim that they put the FUN into FUNdraising.
Over 39 years we have raised many thousands of dollars for local organizations, through our annual Cent Sale (an afternoon with more than 100 prizes raffled and usually a jumble stall at a local market to sell our personal clutter and a Bunnings BBQ
Charities we support
Recently sizeable donations have been made to St Johns Young Lifestyle Care at Gordonvale, Ruth’s and Warringu Women’s Shelters, Young Animal Protection, Marilyn Mayo Cancer Clinic Lodge, Street Level Youth Care
Activities
We have interesting guest speakers and recently visited the Cairns City Art Gallery, Cairns RSL Museum, and had guest speakers regarding our personal financial affairs, and volunteering programmes at Cairns Botanic Gardens. We often enjoy lunch locally after or before our meetings Cairns hosted the 39th National Conference in 2016
