The theme for the Scope National Conference 2021 was “Come back for more at Conference 44”. It was held in Wynnum Qld on the 11, 12, and 13 June 2021.
The weekend started with an uproarious dinner event with a nautical theme. Participants were invited to dress to the theme and this resulted in many pirates, sailors, fishermen, swimmers, divers, snorkelers and even a mermaid!
The ‘serious business’ of the conference happened on the Saturday and it was also a great time for catching up with old friends, making new ones, planning for the year ahead and reporting on the successes of the past year, despite the impact of the onset of the Covid 19 pandemic.
Great guest speakers presented information on a range of topics: Hope Foundation – Jillian Staggs; YoungCare – Belinda Mackintosh; Murder at the Dunwich Asylum – Karen Thurecht and a speaker from the Seafarers Mission – Heather Turner.
