On Wednesday 16th September, the cheque for $2,000 from Scope National Project fundraisers was presented to Lisa Gray, chairperson for Ballina Domestic Violence Liaison Committee at Coffee and Kitchen at East Ballina. The donation is to be equally divided to assist victims directly in emergency situations and to educate young high school students on how to recognise domestic violence situations. The education program also addresses how to show respect in personal relationships. Our President Shirley and Maureen F presented the cheque.
